Brent came to Traditional East Asian Medicine because he was not getting relief from a physical injury. After receiving treatments, he now functions at a much higher level than even six years ago. This led him to study traditional East Asian healing arts, including acupuncture, herbal medicine, Asian bodywork, and Tai Chi. He combines clinical bodywork with traditional and modern systems of East Asian Medicine. He is a Certified Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT), a practice which uses researched-based muscle pain referral patterns to find and treat the source of muscle pain.
With a strong background in anatomy, physiology, and orthopedic examination, Brent specializes in pain conditions and sports medicine, while also successfully treating the common cold, anxiety/stress reduction, and digestive issues.
Brent graduated from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago with a Master’s of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine – which includes 675 clinical hours. In addition to his formal education, Brent continues to study with mentors including Dr. Tony Zayner, DN, L.Ac., Dr. Leslie Smith, MD, MS, and Mary Biancalana, CMTPT, MS.
Some of Brent’s other interests include strength training, Tai Chi, and real estate. Patients most often comment on Brent’s therapeutic efficiency, humor, and his ability to make people feel comfortable. Brent’s direct experience has shown him that self-care is the key to health and wellness. Therefore, he is dedicated to empower his patients with practical, easy-to-implement techniques.
